Online Estate Sale Box Packer Job Description As an Online Estate Sale Preparer , your role is essential in ensuring the smooth execution of estate sales. You'll be responsible for efficiently organizing and packing items for sale, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a positive customer experience. Let's delve into the specifics:
Duties and Responsibilities: Inventory Management : Collaborate with estate sale organizers to understand the inventory available for sale. Categorize items (such as antiques, furniture, collectibles, clothing, and household goods) based on their condition and value. Keep detailed records of the items being packed. Packing and Labeling : Safely pack items into boxes, crates, or containers. Use appropriate packing materials (bubble wrap, tissue paper, etc.) to protect fragile items. Label each box with relevant information (e.g., room location, item type, and any special handling instructions). Organization and Logistics : Arrange packed boxes in an orderly manner for easy transport and setup at the estate sale venue. Coordinate with movers or transportation services to ensure timely delivery of packed items. Customer Interaction : Assist customers during the sale by answering questions about packed items. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to the packing process. Cleanup and Disposal : After the estate sale, assist in cleaning up the venue. Properly dispose of any unsold items or packing materials. Qualifications and Skills: Attention to Detail : Accurate labeling and proper packing are crucial. Flexibility is the name of the game. Our ideal candidate will need between 15-30 hours per week. It is ok to start at 9 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m or later. Need time for appointments, not an issue. We need people to cover the core hours and if we need to be flexible, not a problem. Important: This position will require a lot of standing and comfortable supportive shoes are a must.
