One Stop Liaison -- University of New Haven The University of New Haven in West Haven, CT seeks a motivated and team-oriented professional to primarily serve as the One Stop Liaison for students attending the University through a joint venture specializing in first year study abroad programs. The University provides administrative services for these students in the One Stop Student Financial and Registrar Services Office, which includes the offices of Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Registrar.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Financial and Registrar Services, the Liaison will be responsible for the overall management of student related operations, and facilitate services related to billing, financial aid, and registration. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of each of these areas and the ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff from diverse educational backgrounds. This position handles requests and inquiries from parents, students, and other sources by assisting with questions, and resolving routine issues. They will escalate complicated matters to the appropriate office, while ensuring all issues are addressed with a high degree of customer satisfaction, efficiency, and success.
You Will: Coordinate registration, financial aid awarding, fee assessment and tuition billing Serve as primary liaison to all Verto Education students and parents Reconcile all Verto Education account activity Coordinate payment to Verto Education with the Business Office Create and produce reports pertaining to Verto Education students Review relevant paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Documents may include, but are not limited to, transfer approval forms, transcript requests, financial aid forms, student accounts forms, and various appeals. Meet with students and parents, both in person and remotely, to explain and clarify student account balances, financial obligations, payment terms, and deadlines. Answer general questions about policies and procedures related to student accounts, financial aid, and registration. Research, recommend and implement best practices in student service, especially as related to the partnership between Verto Education and the University of New Haven Remain up to date on policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to financial aid, student accounts, registration, and other student services as required. SECONDARY DUTIES: Support the overall operation of the Office of Student Financial and Registrar Services Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with the University's mission and enrollment goals You Need: Bachelor's degree and two to four years of experience in student administrative services preferred Experience with Banner and PowerFAIDS preferred Excellent verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills A commitment to enhancing the internal and external customer experience is required Professional presentation and demeanor is required Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is necessary Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and advance multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently and take individual initiative as well as the ability to work as a collaborative team member Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required Compliance with all COVID related policies and procedures is required What's In It for You: Health & Welfare Programs: Employees and their eligible family members, including spouses and dependent are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Programs.
