The Employment Development Department (EDD), Document Management Division is searching for a motivated, skilled, and challenge-seeking individual who enjoys innovation, problem solving, and is interested in working with an exciting team of professionals in a fast-paced environment. Under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I, the Office Technician (OT) Typing provides administrative and clerical support for the Administrative Group and acts as the Attendance Clerk for the Document and Information Management Center (DIMC). Duties include attendance and personnel functions such as time recording and preparing personnel documents; performing secretarial functions, including typing of reports, letters and other documents and word processing; and serving as the liaison with Group Supervisors with regard to personnel matters. The incumbent will review and update procedures for attendance reporting and time and production reporting, and handle sensitive and confidential assignments with tact and diplomacy. The OT will work independently and in a team environment, and will also act as a backup to the other DIMC Attendance Clerk.

The incumbent must have strong organizational and communication abilities (written and verbal) to support the EDD's mission, vision, values, and business priorities. This position is conveniently located near Rancho Cordova while offering free parking and a variety of nearby restaurants.
