Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in power distribution, transmission, and generation systems with voltage levels up to 120kV, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical power system issues efficiently. Lead the ongoing maintenance and reliability initiatives for power distribution switchgear, transformers, generators, and associated control systems, implementing predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. Serve as the primary technical liaison with internal stakeholders and electrical utility companies regarding power system requirements, performance assessments, compliance audits, and troubleshooting support. Manage engineering design consultants to ensure the development of robust power system designs for capital projects, providing technical guidance and review throughout the design process. Provide oversight for the construction and commissioning of power system-related capital projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards in all power system activities, promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Ensure that all power system initiatives and projects align with the core values and objectives of the Nevada Gold Mines, promoting efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence. Coordinate with and manage external contractors and consultants involved in Electrical System projects, ensuring adherence to project scope of work, deliverables, timelines, budget, and quality standards. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within power system operations, implementing best practices and innovative solutions. Oversee power system-related projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required, Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred Minimum of five years of experience in power systems engineering, preferably in an industrial or utility setting required Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools preferred Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NESC, IEEE, NETA) required Experience with managing external contractors and consultants required Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. required Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical preferred Familiarity with SAP (ERP) software for project management, procurement, and resource tracking. preferred Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in power system technologies preferred What We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!
