Neuro/Rehabilitation Psychologist

specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

In this role, you'll have the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing acute rehabilitation and hospital care services to adults with neurologic deficits. As a crucial member of our dynamic department, you'll contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rehabilitation medicine.

Key Responsibilities of the Psychologist:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for adults with neurologic deficits, including stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), polytrauma, and amputation.
Implement behavioral interventions, conduct brief bedside assessments, and provide support for adjustment to injury, sleep, and pain management.
Supervise psychology trainees and provide educational guidance to medical residents, nurturing their professional growth and development.
Collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver holistic and patient-centered care.
Engage in research endeavors, overseeing SCI and TBI Model Systems programs, and participating in independent and collaborative research projects.

Required Qualifications:
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA/CPA-approved program.
Eligibility for licensure in Alabama (AL).

Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a fellowship in Rehabilitation Psychology or related field.
