Network Manager Location Kansas City, MO : Responsible for developing, planning, delivering, managing a resilient, reliable, and cost-efficient hybrid cloud network infrastructure for extremely complex portfolio of applications in the Cloud and on-premises (Hybrid Cloud). Manage and lead a globally diverse and distributed team focused on these deliverables. Lead the transformation of the network architecture, while ensuring that the network is always-on, resilient, reliable, and serviceable. Ensure that program goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Responsible for managing the program teams, setting goals, tracking, managing performance, and ensuring corporate sponsorship from cross-business unit leadership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Define the strategy, desired outcomes, and deliverables for the hybrid cloud network program, in alignment to the strategic objectives of the business. Manage and develop the Team, fostering a culture of high performance, with clearly defined goals and deliverables. Define and own the KPIs related to reducing network complexity and reducing incidents. Develop and deploy a robust monitoring/alerting and observability practice. Manage network technology lifecycle, refresh, and transform to enable relevant capabilities with leading networking solutions. Responsible for project management by strategizing, planning, prioritizing, and executing networking roadmap, collaborating across IT and the business. Orchestrate process and intuitional capabilities to proactively meet all compliance and regulatory requirements. Precise, clear, and concise updates and reports on progress, status, issues, and mitigations. Identify and implement innovative changes to increase efficiency in how we work. Deliver programs on time and on budget with superior quality. Coordinate all activities with, and report regularly to senior leadership/sponsorship teams. Monitor and mitigate project, program, and operational execution risks. Work in partnership with business leaders to obtain and commit necessary associate resources at the appropriate time, level, and expertise to support the programs. Ensure all technical procedures are documented and updated. Relentlessly introduce new ways of improving, optimizing & scaling the network operations aligned to business need. Act as a liaison between business and technical aspects of the projects, supporting Directors in product and technology management, analyzing changes, providing directions where needed. Provide oversight to teams of individuals from cross functional teams, as well as vendors to accomplish program outcomes. Manage vendor relationships and ensure their delivery, on time and on budget. Manage the program budget, putting in place financial disciplines that reflects the business demands, and ensuring their execution to meet or beat budget. Coach and mentor direct reports, supporting and inspiring their development and career growth objectives. What you'll bring to the team... Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field 8 years of experience leading large, complex, and critical technology projects 5+ years of experience leading and managing distributed teams. Incident and technical support management Experience implementing hybrid data-center networking including Azure express route, Azure app gateway and site recovery. Hands-on experience implementing virtual networking including VMware NSX and networking in Azure and/or AWS. Experience implementing various routing protocols to include OSPF, BGP, and static routes. Experience with WAN technologies - SDWAN, VPN Experience in automated configuration management and deployment Demonstrated track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Experience developing and managing program budgets. Strong knowledge of business case development including cost/benefit analysis, NPV, current and future state assessments. Experience developing and negotiating partnerships with external vendors/suppliers. Experience managing vendor agreements and tracking service levels. Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with and persuade a wide range of audiences. Superior supervisory and matrix management skills and ability to oversee tasks delegated to others. It would be even better if you also had...
