The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling.Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service land of the Arapaho National Forest , making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. Explore the opportunity to advance your career at one of our sites - the Henderson mine or mill and live life at the top!Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.DescriptionSkilled workers in the electrical/instrumentation field whose duties include but are not limited to removal, repair and installation of electrical components and basic to intermediate troubleshooting. Employee will work under minimal supervision where the primary objective is safe production.Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and constructionPerforming preventative maintenance, installation and repair of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)Assisting with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipmentAdditional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business needQualificationsMinimum QualificationsCompletion of an approved certified electronics, electrical and/or instrumentation programORa minimum of two (2) years of experienceORa combination of education and experience in industrial electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenanceBasic experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipmentPreferredHigh School diploma or GEDCriteria/ConditionsAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentWork is performed in a manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electric shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particlesWhile performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see and work in confined spacesOccasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workdayWill be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operationPersonal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety foot wear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as requiredWorking weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as business needs dictateFreeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable State lawsWhat We Offer YouThe estimated pay range for this role is currently$27.50 - $37.00/hour.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
