Mine Engineer

BACKGROUND:Canyon Fuel Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Wolverine Fuels, LLC, has an immediate opening for a full-time Mine Engineer. We are an underground coal mining company with operations in Central Utah, located within close proximity to Salina, Huntington, and Price Utah.OVERALL JOBPURPOSE: Assist the Engineering department to provide various engineering support activities.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Proficient understanding of engineering principles (soil/rock mechanics, steel design, hydraulics/pump networks, ventilation, conveyors, electricity, economics)Excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPREFERRED EDUCATION &EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining/Civil/Mechanical) or equivalent experienceEngineer in Training (EIT)Professional Engineering License (PE)Experience in underground continuous and longwall mining methodsExperience in project managementPOSITION WILL REPORT TO:Engineering ManagerWolverine Fuels offers a competitive benefits package including Medical with an HSA, Dental, Vision, Rx, Company provided life and AD&D, Paid Holiday/Vacations, and EAP along with a 401K and a 6% company match.
