By offering convenient, accessible, cost-effective healthcare services, we keep our patients at the center!Why us?Enjoy the perks of a family-like practice with the support of a large healthcare management company.We offer a comprehensive benefits package available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.Our company-wide growth means consistent opportunities for advancement.Core ResponsibilitiesMaintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA lawsEscort patients to and from exam/treatment roomsTriage patients as necessaryAdminister vaccines and injectionsAble to take manual blood pressureRecord patient data prior to the physician's visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changesObtain necessary patient records and verify consent prior to treatment or proceduresAssist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures, including but not limited to injections, dermatologic procedures, pelvic exams, EKGs, eye exams, managing dressings, POC lab tests, and performing x-rays (training provided)Administer medications orally, vaginally, rectally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and intradermallyPrepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as neededMaintain proper disinfection protocolsSchedule patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointmentsComplete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imagingComplete all forms used by the provider, including but not limited to, growth charts, MPE, pap forms, cytology-pathology forms, etc.Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the providerOther duties as necessaryQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent, requiredMedical terminology experience, requiredAssociates degree in Medical Assisting, preferredOne of the following or similar qualification is preferred: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Graduate of Medical Assisting Program (MA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)1-2 years of experience, preferredMust pass Avance Care Competency Check (Medical Knowledge Assessment and Vaccination Knowledge Assessment)What are we looking for?Excellent verbal and written communicationAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong computer skillsStrong attention to detailTeam playerEfficient time management and workload prioritizationStrong multitasking skillsMedication knowledgeVaccination knowledgeSchedule12-hour rotating shiftsAlternating weekendsMonday - Friday 7:30am - 7pm; Saturday & Sunday 9am - 3pm
