Role: Mechanical Engineer Primary Skills: Engineering Role Description: As a Mechanical Engineer you must have at least 3+ years of experience. In this role, you will directly interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities.
Security Clearance Requirement: - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Key Responsibilities: - Customer Engagement: Directly interface with customers at all levels, from initial quotation to final design and testing.
- Project Management: Collaborate with customers and supervisors to define project details, including scope, timing, and special conditions.
- Design and Development: Perform a variety of design development tasks, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Site Assessment: Analyze customer needs and proposed site factors to develop concept design strategies.
- Construction Oversight: Direct inspectors in construction management activities, resolving issues as they arise.
- Standards Development: Develop engineering standards for installation facilities construction and ensure quality facilities.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and complete special analyses to support engineering efforts.
- System Installation Planning: Develop plans for system installations, facility utilization, and structure construction within programmed scope and costs.
- Document Preparation: Supervise drafting of detailed plans and construction documents, ensuring compliance with appropriate standards.
- Cost Estimation: Determine material quantities, labor requirements, and prepare accurate construction cost projections.
- Collaboration: Lead or participate in multi-discipline project collaborations.
- Contract Management: Participate in contract solicitation, bid review, award, and pre-work activities, ensuring prompt preparation and execution of contract documents.
- Compliance Review: Review contract submittals and inspect project sites for contractor compliance with specifications.
- Project Closeout: Ensure complete project closeout, including fiscal closure and record drawing completion.
- Condition Assessment: Investigate existing structures or systems to assess their adequacy and suitability, conducting necessary testing and analysis.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and document project activities and data.
- Specification Development: Generate design specifications and prepare technical documentation.
- Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations for design and review meetings.
- Documentation Management: Establish and maintain project status tracking systems or databases.
- Site Investigations: Conduct site visits to investigate engineering problems, propose solutions, and provide recommendations.
- Compliance Verification: Ensure adherence to engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Additional Duties: - Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
