Organizational skills, ability to schedule and meet deadlines Monitoring the overall medical record to validate support of MDS coding Works with interdisciplinary team to assure timely completion of Resident assessment Protocols and Patient Care Plans Supports the accuracy of medical record documentation through ongoing in-services to center partners. Successful candidates will have the following: Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in South Carolina (Required) Current CPR certification Experience with PCC Must maintain all required continuing education/ licensing and remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing. Experience as MDS Nurse Expertise in long-term care/ rehab setting
The primary function of the MDS Nurse is to assess resident care needs, direct and supervise staff to meet the resident's needs, coordinate with other members of the Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT) develop and implement a plan of care that meets the individual needs of each resident. The MDS Coordinator nurse also provides direct resident/patient care.
