Materials Manager

Job summary
The Materials Manager is responsible for materials management function and procurement.They will direct and administer raw material/component procurement and planning/scheduling.They will set the vision for the department and oversee performance of the materials team.

Responsibilities
• Set the vision for the department and hold accountability for performance.• Maintain optimum inventory levels and resolve shortages.• Function as a key stakeholder in product portfolio management.• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen initiatives.• Oversee production control planning and scheduling programs.• Execute the Master Production Schedule.• Monitor efficiency of workforce and control labor costs.• Act as liaison to the Customer Service team.• Collaborate with the Purchasing team.• Develop and maintain reporting systems for materials.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a management-related field.• 5+ years' experience in materials control and production control.• 2+ years of supervisory experience.• CI certification or equivalent experience.• Previous experience working in SAP.• Previous experience working on a greenfield manufacturing project.• Strategic thinking, proactive leadership, good judgment.• Ability to embrace and utilize ever-changing technologies.• Ability to lead cross functional problem-solving efforts.• Must be authorized to work in the US.
