Full job description TEEMS Manufacturing specializes in the engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing of custom steel parts, structural steel packages, and heavy steel equipment. We are looking for a full-time Material Handler to join our team as we expand into larger projects. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work quickly and independently. The primary goal of this position will be to safely unload steel shipments, check in deliveries, attach inventory tags, and move material into and out of the shop for processing. Ability to work in warehouse or shop conditions of high heat, extreme cold, and wet conditions. Quality work and safety are top priorities at TEEMS. Our family-owned business has been operating in Texas since 2006 and in Amarillo since 2011, priding ourselves on our products and people. Excellent attendance and work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Hourly position starts at $17 an hour, with experience pay level will increase. 90-day Employer paid benefits and PTO.
Responsibilities:
· Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
· Load and unload steel deliveries
· Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.
· Receive and check incoming deliveries
· Pull material to fulfill jobs properly and timely
· Prepare shipments and load them onto trucks for delivery
· Monitor inventory levels and communicate with multiple project managers and supervisors
· Document orders, materials, and any stock movements
· Keeping material moving machines clean and organized
· Other side jobs or tasks as needed
Requirements:
· Experience as a Forklift Operator, Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position
· Familiarity with manufacturing or construction inventory management is a plus, all training will be provided
· Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to current safety standards
· Strong communication skills
· Dexterity and attention to detail
· Organizational skills
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (bending, lifting 50-100lbs, standing, walking for long hours)
· License to operate forklifts, or ability to learn
· Availability to occasionally work overtime
