Responsibilities
• Coach, mentor, and provide accounting assistance to municipalities• Develop routines, best practices, board reporting, and year-end readiness• Interact directly with town staff in a teaching and mentoring role• Provide regular accounting assistance services to participating municipalities• Work collaboratively and independently• Possess a learned knowledge of governmental accounting and GAAP• Demonstrate advanced communication skills and sound judgement
Requirements
• 4-10 years' experience in accounting, preferably in governmental accounting• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)• CPA preferred• Experience with governmental accounting software and processes• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries• Excellent financial acumen
