Marketing Events Specialist - Remote within U.S. Location Remote in Richfield, OH : OEC provides software solutions to those who work in the automotive parts and repair industry. Our solutions make it easier for automotive industry professionals to buy and sell parts, conduct repair research & planning, optimize estimates, improve the parts supply chain, and more. OEC partners with many of the world's largest manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, shops and repairers, and service providers, giving our customers access to a comprehensive network and a streamlined workflow. Job Summary Plans and organizes North American marketing activities to drive brand awareness and demand for OEC solutions. Provides minimal global event planning support as required. Collaborates with internal marketing team members, such as Demand Generation and Product Marketing Specialists, to execute regional, national, and international tradeshows, user groups, and conferences. Partners with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management and Sales, to ensure alignment with event strategy and achievement of goals. Helps with event research, event registrations, management of materials, and project management of events. Key Responsibilities 1. Creates and manages the full year event calendar, budget, and project management plans. 2. Creates speaking topics/call for papers program, so that OEC gets maximum exposure and value from its investment. 3. Researches and evaluates potential new events and venues. 4. Coordinates and executes key logistics items such as attendance and registrations, shipping, booth design, and booth materials, either virtually or on-site (depending on size and scope of the event). 5. Assists with post-conference lead reporting/information transfer to the Marketing Operations team. 6. Collaborates with and supports the Marketing team on event campaigns and promotions (pre and post-show campaigns). Education A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Marketing, Product Management, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree. Experience At least 3 years of professional work experience, with at least 1 year providing market-related support and/or coordinating and planning of events, plus working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Hubspot, Pardot, etc. Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities: Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving high-quality results. Passion for process, and an attitude exemplified by achieving valuable and memorable experiences for prospects and customers. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Excellent organization and planning skills. Ability to use (or learn to use) project management software applications (such as Wrike, Asana, Monday.com). Excellent writing and editing skills. Special Position Requirements Ongoing travel is required and expected to be up to 25% of work time, to provide in-person/on-site support at events. Able to adjust and flex work hours as needed, to accommodate working across time zones. What makes working at OEC awesome? It varies from employee to employee.
