Marketing Communications Manager Location Hybrid remote in Evanston, IL : YJC is a workforce development and job placement agency that prepares young people, ages 14-25, for success in the workplace and life. YJC provides Workforce Readiness Training (WRT), personalized career coaching, job placement support, financial coaching, and barrier reduction services to young adults throughout Chicagoland. Our primary office is in Evanston, IL, and we have satellite offices in Chicago Heights, Englewood, and Pilsen. This role will be a hybrid between in-person and remote, which will be finalized with the supervisor based on time, location, and availability. Youth Job Center (YJC) is hiring a Marketing and Communications Manager. This position works closely with the YJC Leadership Team, to ensure effective marketing operations, communications and alignment for agency programs and functions. Develop and Implement Integrated Communications & Marketing Strategies
Collaborate with key staff and partners to create and execute comprehensive communications and marketing strategies aligned with YJC's goals. Utilize a mix of online and offline channels to raise awareness of our mission and programs. Brand Management
Ensure consistency and integrity of the organization's brand across all marketing materials and communications. Manage brand guidelines to be used internally and by external partners. Content Creation and Communications
Produce compelling and impactful content for various channels, including social media, websites, newsletters, text messaging, and press releases. Craft persuasive and engaging copy that effectively communicates the organization's mission and initiatives. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and other key stakeholders. Digital Marketing
Oversee the organization's online presence, including website management and social media channels. Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive engagement, donations, and support for our cause. Special Events
Plan and execute marketing strategies for fundraising events, community outreach, and other special initiatives. Collaborate with the event planning team to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts. Participate in the planning and execution of special events. Analytics and Reporting
Monitor and analyze the performance of communications and marketing activities using relevant tools and metrics. Provide regular reports to leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement. Internal Communications
Manage internal SharePoint website. Post job opportunities for YJC clients and internal openings. Work with the Operations team on employee engagement and internal events. Other
Participate in YJC Board of Directors meetings as needed. Other duties as assigned. Education/Work Experience B.A./B.S. degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience. At least three years' experience in communications and/or marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector. Specific Technical/Job-Related Skills Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Graphic Design experience. Proficiency with digital marketing tools, analytics, and social media platforms. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Squarespace, Adobe Suite, text messaging marketing. Pay: $56,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
