Development and Marketing Manager Job Description The Development and Marketing Manager will lead engagement efforts with the current and potential SFBATCO donor community through development, communications, and marketing activities. The ideal candidate is aligned to the mission and values of the organization and excited by the opportunity to drive vision, strategy, and execution as the organization scales. The Development and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising, marketing, communications, and donor outreach initiatives on behalf of SFBATCO to further our mission and reach. 
Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, creative, outgoing, positive, driven, and have data analytics and graphic design experience.
Employment Type: Full time
Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience. Health and dental care options after 90 days, subject to provider ability, plus competitive vacation and sick pay.
Status: Exempt
Location: Hybrid, but must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We work in a virtual / in-person model.
Responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to: Development (70% of job):
Oversee all SFBATCO development efforts including appeals, grants, events, and individual donations Work with the Managing Director in the creation of individual fundraising plans and stewardship strategy, provide leadership to the entire SFBATCO team and Board of Directors towards these efforts Create and manage a system for tracking solicitation and follow up with existing and potential donors Draft individual fundraising campaign language and manage campaigns Create pitch letters and sponsorship packages for new partners and sponsors (e.g., BIDs, real estate companies, etc.) Work with Managing Director to plan and execute fundraising events Identify and pursue potential corporate sponsorship opportunities  Identify and cultivate relationships with institutional donors and foundations Lead grant process including: prospect research, draft proposal submissions, write grant proposals, execute grant reports, and manage grant invoices Design and execute additional donor cultivation opportunities throughout the year, including maintaining a volunteer pipeline to deepen donor connections to the program Maintain and manage data across platforms Marketing (30% of job):
Create marketing plans for produced and presented events. This includes executing ad buys online and in print, running the company's Google Ads and Meta Ads Suites Create branding for individual projects (key art, title treatments, etc) Write marketing copy for both produced and presented events Actively seek unique marketing opportunities, partnerships, and cross-promotions Oversee and provide conceptual guidance on SFBATCO's social media strategy and e-newsletter campaigns Work with Web Designer to design SFBATCO's website to optimize marketing and donor strategy Engage and manage marketing contractors and/or agencies (photographers, postering companies, digital marketing agencies, etc) Work with Managing Director to create and manage annual/production marketing strategy and budgets Work to enhance the culture of giving through messaging, branding, and marketing strategy Identify and pursue press/publicity opportunities Manage and mentor Marketing Associate Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration or related field Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience in marketing, development, or communications Experience running campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, e-newsletter software Strong data analysis skills Working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Experience creating and managing budgets; comfort using formulas Excellent writing skills Experience working collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals, and an eagerness to be a leader and oversee the growth of the department Comfortable speaking in front of groups of people, specifically post- or pre-show donation appeals Must be willing to work some nights and weekends for productions/events Access to a car strongly preferred
