Nesco Resource is seeking a Manufacturing Process/Quality Engineer with demonstrated electronics experience to work for one of our clients based in Seymour, CT.
ROLE:
Our client seeks a responsible Quality or Process Engineer for manufacturing quality on the production floor. You will monitor quality metrics, quickly identify quality issues, and address non-conformances in real-time. You will work closely with production, engineering and quality control, advising recommended solutions and providing support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor process quality and address non-conformances in real time Assess current processes for productivity and quality improvements Recommend production improvement opportunities based on real-time and historical quality data Monitor system wide Quality trends Participate on the committee for dispositioning receiving and in-process non-conforming material Support corrective and preventative actions Participate in in-process audits, AS and ISO internal audits, and customer audits Generate quality plans following the guidelines of the APQP process Provide guidance to Inspection personnel Participate in Technical and Engineering Design Reviews Support product and process validations Perform other duties as defined by management QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related disciplines, or equivalent work experience Minimum of three years' experience as a certified Process and/or Quality Engineer in a company whose business is in electronics and/or electronic assembly Certification to and/or knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001 are highly desired Capable of high-level data analysis Ability to generate and perform FMEA's and PFMEA's Working knowledge of Configuration Management standards such as ISO100007, SAE/EIA-649, and MIL-HDBK-614 Process knowledge in printed circuit assembly and/or printed circuit boards is highly desirable Ability to work independently Desire to grow into a leadership role, over time Availability for national and international travel, up to 10% of the time, may be required ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Direct hire with benefits Salary range $80 - $100K Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
