Job summary
The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs mammography-related diagnostic procedures.Must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.Critical position impacting the profitability of the organization and patient experience.

Responsibilities
• Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.• Effectively communicate procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.• Effectively communicate with doctors, patients, and other employees.• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.• Maintain a patient-first focus and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography.• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible.• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT.• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred.• Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location.• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred.• Two years of experience in mammography is preferred.• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.• Prior quality control experience preferred.• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
