Volt is immediately hiring a Maintenance Technician for a local leading organization of Manufacturing in Otay Mesa.
As a Maintenance Technician you will: Maintenance of machinery and procurement of necessary materials. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control problems and determine method of repair or replacement. Inspect equipment to determine reasons for malfunction and take corrective action. Replace worn or broken parts. Disassemble, troubleshoot, clean/repair mechanical unit parts. Work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, schematics and manufacturing specs. Perform functional tests of installed, rebuilt, or repaired machines/equipment Perform safety inspections related to guarding. Support environmental and safety compliance per state and federal regulations. Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers and pressure gauges. Check pumps, fans, valves and motors Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area. Performs other duties as necessary. This is a full-time Temporary opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Solid understanding of computers. Ability to lift-up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work for extended periods of time at a workstation while sitting. Ability to move material using various movements. Schedule: Monday-Friday 3am-11:30am or 4am-12:30pm
Pay Rate: $28 per hour.
