Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance MechanicLocation: Atmore, Alabama Must be flexible to work all shifts.
Objective/Position Summary
•Performs general maintenance on plant facility and equipment using basic mechanical skills.
Responsibilities
•Responsible for performing basic repairs on plant equipment and facilities.
• Responsible for maintaining proper operation and safety of plant equipment. 
•Responsible for obeying Company Work Rules and Safety Rules.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
Qualification Requirements
•To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or
ability required. Must own personal tools to perform typical mechanical repairs. Ability to work
under minimal supervision on off shifts.
Education and/or Experience
•High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
Transferable Skills
•Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, read and comprehend numerical part numbers
and orders.  Must be able to read and write. Must have basic mechanical skills. Basic blueprint
reading skills required.
Physical Requirements
• Must have 20/20 vision in both eyes with corrective lenses
•The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
•Must be capable of lifting up to 75lbs., occasionally.
•Must to be capable of standing, sitting, bending, and reaching for up to 8 hours.
