Duties As a Mail Operations Supervisor, you will:
Supervise a staff engaged in a variety of duties overseeing all of the daily Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing and transmission of electronic payments to the Federal Reserve Bank and the processing and transmission of all the check payments for both the NPCE in Kansas City, Missouri and the Payment Integrity Center of Excellence (PICOE) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Oversee the daily operational performance and maintenance of multiple printing, enclosing, sorting, and mailing equipment and coordinate services and contracts with vendors and internal stakeholders. Responsible for a workload that includes Federal Government Treasury and Non-Treasury payment disbursement of billions of ACH and check payments totaling trillions of dollars destined for payment recipients around the world. Requirements Conditions of Employment A one year probationary period may be required. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so. Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel. This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

Experience interpreting regulations, policies, and guidelines; AND Monitoring quantitative and qualitative data to assess the achievement of operations or task and provide status reports to management; AND Experience providing leadership to motivate and guide others toward goals; coordinating, leading and prioritizing work, and gain cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals; AND Experience identifying problems, conducting problem resolution, and working with internal and external stakeholders to recommend process improvements.
