This is a hybrid role located in New York.  In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: The candidate must possess a demonstrated ability to mine large datasets and be skilled in unearthing consistent trends from the aggregated investment flows running through BNY Mellon's infrastructure.Deliver valuable insights to content creators on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as the main point of contact for the Aerial View data series.Develop improved analytics, reporting, and modeling by applying the tools and techniques of data science to large public, vendor, and proprietary statistics, and interacting with team members and business partners to develop novel metrics of financial markets behavior and dynamics. Experience with a wide variety of data analysis tools and techniques (Python, SQL, Tableau, Excel)To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Master's degree or preferably a Ph.D. in mathematics, economics, finance, or statistics.Techniques: Data modeling, statistical analyses (including sampling, regression analysis, and machine learning), and hypothesis testing.Strong research skills and intellectual curiosity.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization, prioritization, and project management.#LI-HybridAt BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $147,000 and $273,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
