Summary: The Logistics Specialist will be deeply analytic with strong quantitative skills and the ability to streamline operations. Must have a deep knowledge of logistics and production planning concepts, excellent communication skills, and an analytical mind with business acumen. 
Essential Job Function: Work in coordination with team to schedule deployments, shipping, and tracking of equipment from the point of origin to various locations meeting time-sensitive deadlines using multiple shipping methods and carriers Inventory, storage, distribution, and cataloging of non-expandable and durable equipment Identifying equipment and supply vendors to facilitate the organizations material needs Providing status of equipment accountability Preparing and or organizing information for special reports, memorandums and correspondence Coordinating with staff to consolidate orders, make substitutions, and distribute/revise material requirements Organize, direct , and coordinate staff performing moderately complex and challenging logistical activities Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of budgeting processes and ensures that task schedules and deliverables accomplished May also serve as a technical resource on a task Coordinate the return of equipment, inspection, and conduct of maintenance and/or repairs as necessary based on return inspection Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, produce updated status reports, maintain shipping and receiving logs, and work with procurement to track order status, and repair/maintenance issues Develop standard operating procedures for all logistics processes Conduct audits of procedures to ensure adherence to international and US procedures Necessary Skills and Knowledge Knowledgeable and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and customer service skills are essential Excellent management and organizational skills Able to meet multiple project deadlines and demonstrate excellent attention to detail Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, logistics management or a related subject, or equivalent experience Possess five (5) or more years of experience in CONUS and OCONUS logistical planning and execution Experience in conducting targeted review of status and identify points of risk and able to identify alternative strategies for addressing and mitigating risk Preferred Skills: Experience in program and project management or related organizational or operational support, including demonstrated cost, budget, and analytical expertise Direct Property Management experience Experience in conducting targeted review of status and identify points of risk and able to identify alternative strategies for addressing and mitigating risk The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.
