Major Responsibilities
Provide analytical support to Director of Logistics and Customer Service on strategic initiatives, productivity initiative opportunities and cross-functional initiatives.
Conducts logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics
element requirements in support of operation and transportation.
Provides recommendations for the development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Management Plans.
Monitor inventory reports and inventory flow between the manufacturing plant overseas and local distribution centers. Monitor product shelf life and work with sales team to
take proactive steps to minimize product obsolescence. Maintain and reconcile inventory
as needed.
Negotiate contracts with our land-based freight and complete optimization of pickups and deliveries while focusing on cost effectiveness.
Provides recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material
support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data packaging,
handling, storage and transportation, and facilities.
Review daily reports to help with metric data and to analyze daily performance against established service level metrics.
Analyzes route schedules or load plans, historical activity and customer trends in order to provide recommendations for improvements to routing efficiency and solution effectiveness

Degree required: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management.
