SummaryThis role will work closely with one of our premises liability attorneys and litigation paralegal. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.ResponsibilitiesPerform administrative duties, such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logisticsMaintain pleadings and discovery indexesReview and request medical recordsOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendicesImplement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflowCollect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparationDraft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contractsResearch regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal adviceManage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorneyCommunicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositionsManage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systemsProvide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangementsQualificationHigh school diploma or GEDAssociate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred)At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department.Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills#LI-FM1
