Summary As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will provide rapid deployment healthcare support at Medical Special Needs Shelters in Louisiana, in collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Health. You will offer comprehensive mental health services, including assessments, counseling, and advocacy, to individuals, families, and/or groups.
Job Duties: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' psychosocial needs/mental health. Develop individualized transition plans in collaboration with Louisiana Program Management staff for residents. Offer crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute emotional distress or psychiatric emergencies. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care for patients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards. Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines established by professional organizations, such as the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and state licensing boards. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Education, Knowledge, and Skills: As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you must hold a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Additionally, you must possess an active, unrestricted, and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the US. A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with diverse populations in a mental health setting is required, along with at least one year of Emergency Response Experience.
Must be able to work safely, adhering to all safety rules and regulations. Work collaboratively to enhance safety culture and quality. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Must frequently push, pull, reach, and bend. Must be adept at multi-tasking, detail-oriented, organized, and have strong verbal and communication skills. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well within a team. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential. Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries. Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to address the needs and barriers of residents and families. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions for treating a variety of mental health disorders and conditions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients. Commitment to cultural competency, diversity, and inclusion in clinical practice Must successfully complete the Credentialing Process. Proficiency in English and additional languages as needed.
