AtkinsRéalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.How will you contribute to the team?Primary point of contact for the Department of Transportation business unit (DOT). Responsible for Design Build contract negotiations including drafting, identifying, and mitigating contract risks from the Designer perspective.Directs the strategy of the contract administration function for the DOT business unit on contract issues or challenges that may arise, working closely with AtkinsRéalis' geographically dispersed teams to ensure efficient deal flow processes and the timely, compliant negotiation, execution and management of contracts. Corporate business travel, as required.Establish credibility and champion relationships with all cross-functional teams affected by or utilizing the contract process, including, but not limited to, the win work teams, project managers and business unit management team.Develops, revises, negotiates, and administers contracts, bids, and proposals that meet specifications (in coordination with the business) from proposal stage to project close-out in accordance with relevant regulations and best commercial practice.Reviews solicitation requests to ensure both contractual and commercial compliance with terms and conditions is achievable.Coordinates approval of negotiations, contracts, and subcontracts. Provides advice on and interpretation of contract requirements and risk mitigation strategies.Prepares Florida Department of Transportation price proposals and audit packages and any other relevant Federal Transit Administration and Federal Highway Administration required procurement activities.Participates in vendor or subcontractor agreement negotiations when required.Coordinates with program managers to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.Leads the development of internal contract and subcontract administrators by providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced contracts/subcontracts administrators and managers.Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.Participates in special projects.Ensure small business compliance as needed for federal, state and local government contracts.Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.What will you contribute?Prior experience with Design-Build and professional services contracts is required with advanced knowledge of Design Build contract risks and interpretations, including Progressive Design Build (Designer perspective). Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of fifteen years relevant experience, OR JD or Master's degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of ten years relevant experience. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to drive strategic direction utilizing risk mitigation and analytics as needed. Requires thorough understanding of contracting terms and conditions, including commerciality. Excellent computer and software skills, including contract management software. Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight time constraints. Contracts Management credentials from NCMA, preferred.
