Lead Manufacturing Specialist (Food Production/Processing), Moses Lake, WA (Seeking candidates in the US who are legally authorized to work in the US without restrictions) Number of openings: 5
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
Top (3) MUST HAVE Qualifications: 1. Educational and Experience Requirements: A Bachelor's degree complemented by at least three years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is essential. Alternatively, candidates with over five years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. Technical Proficiency and Manufacturing Acumen: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing techniques. Proficiency with database and ERP software, particularly IFS, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word, is required. Knowledge of workplace safety and GMP regulations is also necessary for ensuring compliance and maintaining operational standards.

3. Leadership and Decision-Making Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities are required to effectively manage and direct team operations. This includes having a sharp attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform root cause analysis. The capacity to make sound business decisions and solve problems efficiently by deploying the right resources is critical.

Role Overview & Job Responsibilities The Plant Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and coordinating the full spectrum of activities within the plant, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The core responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the highest standards of safety for both personnel and food production processes, actively engaging in the SAFE process, and providing safety coaching to employees.
- Managing adherence to production and packaging schedules, optimizing crew distribution, and collaborating with team members to achieve budgeted line rates, quality control, and maintenance oversight.

- Leading team problem-solving and decision-making efforts, conducting disciplinary actions as needed, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely performance evaluations and training.

- Serving as the primary contact for emergency response during shifts, adhering to company policies, addressing personnel issues, and conducting investigations.

- Supporting customer satisfaction through effective communication, maintaining rigorous sanitation standards and GMPs, including HACCP program adherence, and contributing to supplier certification and audit processes.

- Driving continuous improvement by embracing lean manufacturing principles, aligning with company values, and identifying cost-saving initiatives.
