Job Responsibilities: • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Focus on correct food portioning, plating, and garnishes
• Maintain a clean workspace, and adhere to all safety protocols to be health department ready
• Follow all kitchen safety protocols including using a cut glove, slicer safety, safe lifting, etc.
• Assist with cleaning and organizing the kitchen and all kitchen equipment
• Helping to unload and organize food delivery orders
• Setting your station up for success, and properly prepping prior to the rush
• Communicating with your kitchen manager regarding par levels and needs.
• Maintain a positive, professional teamwork approach with your fellow team members both HOH and FOH
• On-the-Job Team lead during station training for trainees
• Supportive to all new hires
• Assist with new menu execution and roll outs
• Maintain a positive personality and willingness to coach
• Oversee the setup of stations, ensuring station opening/closing and daily duties are performed each shift
• Always set a good example for other team members and takes ownership of their responsibilities Reports any repairs and maintenance issues to Chef or KM
• Oversee the set-up of all stations in the kitchen
• Ensure all team member adhering to prep lists until Chef arrives
• Accept deliveries
• Communicate inefficiencies or product issues
• Perform line checks
• Station support for team members while in service
• Checking out team members and stations
Job Requirements: • Must have an open availability including weekends and holidays
• Minimum of 2 years cooking in a full-service restaurant
• Strong multi-tasking ability, with the ability to work well under pressure
• Positive and Professional Attitude
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must present a Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
• Must be comfortable with repetitive movements such a slicing and dicing food items
• Must be able to walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and twist for 4-12 hours/day
• Must be able to push, pull, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
