Description Manage construction projects from Pre-Con to Post Con adhering to contract obligations and predetermined budgets and timelines Be the primary point of contact with clients and develop relationships; communicating before, during, and after the construction process Successfully articulate the needs of the clients and contracts to your teams to execute the work agreed upon in a timely manner Use knowledge of Irrigation, Grading, Plant and Sod techniques to evaluate projects and assist in troubleshooting problems when necessary Regularly work with other trades and communicate issues/delays/confusion with clients on a regular basis to prevent rework or delays Complete timely and accurate billing according to established procedures and coordinate internally to ensure resolution of issues Responsible for financial management and profitability goals of portfolio Establish safe and secure jobsites for employees and customers Provide supervision and develop employees through positive interactions, coaching, giving feedback and providing hands-on instruction Manage the activities of installation crews of 3-5 employees; communicate with Crew Leaders on a daily basis to ensure work schedules are adhered to and employee time is reported accurately. Ensure crew members have a layout and clear understanding of scope of work and budgeted time. Order materials needed for projects and create estimates for enhancements
Requirements AS or BS degree in Horticulture, Construction, or related field, preferred Minimum 3-5 years experience Experience managing a financial budget preferred Extensive knowledge of Irrigation, Grading, Planting and Sod techniques Plant identification and/or design skills preferred Ability to read and execute work from landscape and construction plans Ability to resolve problems with a strong sense of urgency and collaboration Ability to work with vendors to order materials well in advance to ensure crews have all tools and materials to hit predetermined durations from clients Adaptability and sound judgment when faced with multiple, competing priorities Willingness to travel the service area, weather the elements, and work in the field when necessary Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word Ability to work with minimal supervision
