General Position Summary
Operates light to heavy trucks and equipment to perform a variety of tasks associated with Landfill maintenance. Must pass a DOT drug screen test to be eligible for employment. Qualifications

Education, Certification, & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPR Certification First Aid Certified Oregon Commercial Driver's License Class A Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills – A bility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Salary and Benefits
This is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a wage range of $ 21.13 - $ 26.73 per hour.  The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year.  Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work Schedule
The normal work schedule is 8 hours per day 5 days per week; exact schedules are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work.  Full or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.  Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.
