Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, extended temporary opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant in Allegan, MI!
Contract Length: 4 years
Shift: Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm
Responsibilities
Manage sample inventory, including collection of samples from multiple locations
Manage shipping of samples to outside laboratories, and organize and maintaining an accurate sample catalog
Assist in basic sample preparations under senior laboratory supervision and guidance.
Manage the ordering of reference standards
Liaise with external suppliers to obtain technical information and resolve any issues related to ordered materials
Coordinate testing for in-house qualifications as needed with laboratory team members
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or equivalent. Associates degree in technical subject area preferred but not required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of scientific laboratory procedures and terminology.
Some experience with basic laboratory techniques and equipment (balance and pipette use)
Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately.
Ability to follow laboratory safety practices and procedures.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites with reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
