We are looking for an ambitious and caring Kitchen Director to join our team at Chick-fil-A. This "hands-on" management opportunity is designed to give you a career in the most highly-esteemed restaurant chain in the nation. The Kitchen Director is responsible for overseeing all operational activities associated with the kitchen areas of the restaurant. The Kitchen Director executes daily excellence across a full spectrum of operational activities at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels. The BOH Director primarily focuses on Food Safety, Quality and Prep, Truck Ordering and Inventory, Cleanliness, Food Cost and Profitability, and Preparing fresh great tasting food in a timely manner. The Kitchen Director sets the standard for "Operational Excellence" in the kitchen and leads by example while mentoring and developing the Kitchen Team. Kitchen Director Responsibilities Always delivering crave-able food, in a timely manner, that meets or exceeds Meets Chick-fil-A Quality Requirements Coaching the behaviors of all Team Leaders and Team Members who work in the kitchen Sense of Urgency that creates surprisingly fast Speed of Service Attention to detail that ensures preparation and production procedures are followed Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment, Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety, Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the kitchen, Ensuring the kitchen is ready for a Backstage Tour with a four-minute lead time, Inventory management End-of-Month counts and input Maintaining accurate transfer logs Effective & efficient ordering Maintaining a LEAN production environment Coaching, evaluating, and providing accountability for all kitchen Team Members Collaborate with other Directors to ensure unity and clarity Holding each other (Directors) accountable for their roles and responsibilities Kitchen Director Expectations Work 45-50 hours per week in the restaurant Allocate administrative tasks by planning throughout the week Focus on systematically and effectively communicating all Kitchen related goals and success factors to Team Members Combine critical thinking and practical leadership to create a culture of innovation Effectively coach and give direction Intentionally and methodically grow and nurture relationships with the staff Align hiring, training, daily practices and evaluation practices with the Vision of the organization and the Thematic Goal for the year Enthusiastically and passionately lead the Kitchen team Success Factors and Matching Measurements How will you know this position has been successful? We will know the Kitchen Director is successful upon attaining the following:
