Responsibilities
• Adapt lessons to meet student needs• Support coordination of related services for students• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)• Implement and update IEPs based on student progress• Assess students' skills and develop teaching plans• Collect and analyze student data for decision-making• Communicate student progress with parents and teachers• Prepare students for transitions and graduation• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula• Use technology for communication and education
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree• Experience in a Special Education classroom• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction• Ability to manage student behavior• Strong organizational and communication skills• Ability to facilitate Admission, Review and Dismissal meetings• Strong family engagement and communication skills• Record of results for academically at-risk students
