Junior Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance and accounting team, including review of expense reports and journal entry keying into our accounting system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure accurate expense and invoice coding. Process employee expense reimbursements in accordance to company policy ensuring proper documentation requirements are met.Respond to vendor payment inquiriesEnter payments into Lawson Accounting system with accurate coding Combine PDF documents for archiving to the invoice imaging programProcess payments to vendors and employeesCredit card processing for 2 company cards - expense coding and journal entry preparation.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience in Account PayableProficient data entry and computer skills, including basic MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Accounting systemExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressureSuperior customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-starter with a can-do attitude and a team player.Dependability, flexibility and professional demeanorThis is a temporary, full time position with the opportunity to become regular.
