Kelly partnered with a global titanium steel process manufacturer location Detroit, and we have a JOURNEYMAN Maintenance Electrician (s) opportunity for 2nd and/or 3rd shift. 
 
Compensation: $36.80 per hr.
2nd shift- $.25 shift premium
3rd shift -$.40 shift premium 
Hours: 2nd shift ( 2pm - 10pm ) or 3rd shift (10pm - 6am)  DIRECT HIRE!
 
The Maintenance Electrician will perform journey-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems; maintenance and repairs on equipment, as needed.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems, including electric motors and controls.
- Write specifications for repairs and new construction.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Maintain service and repair records.
- Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
- Train and direct the work of other classified staff in the area.
- Assist and serve as a backup to other Maintenance employees.
- Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them.
- Advise management on potential hazards related to equipment operation.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
- Support 5S housekeeping throughout the plant and in maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have a journeyman card or state license 
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Understanding of machine functions to assemble and disassemble machinery properly.
- Ability to use instruction books and tools such as levels, welding machines, and torque wrenches.
- Knowledge of on-the-job safety requirements, including Electrical Safety, Lock Out Tag Out, Back and Ergonomics Safety, and Fall Protection in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Forklift, Skid Steer, Aerial Work Platform, Overhead and Mobile Crane experience is a plus.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to compile information and make decisions.
- High level of commitment, responsibility, independence, and teamwork.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must wear department personal protective equipment.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions, both indoor and outdoor.
- Willingness to work in a high-temperature environment.
