Carrier Relations Specialist - REMOTE
Job Duties:
* Contact carriers on behalf of acquired agencies about their appointment
* Gather and work with the agency locations to complete needed carrier appointment paperwork.
* Assist agencies with issues such as portal logins, commission issues, issues with local/national carrier representatives.
* Assisting with onboarding and integration of new acquisitions with carrier process
* Maintain and document progress related to assigned book transitions
* Assist agencies with new carrier appointments or BORs.
* Report progress of book transitions regularly to agencies and corporate Carrier team.
* Assist with gathering and collating materials for webinars and presentations.
* Assist agencies with issues such as portal logins, commission issues, issues with local/national carrier representatives.
* Other tasks as assigned by VP of Carrier & Wholesale Relationships or Manager, Carrier Administration.
Requirements :
* 3 to 5 years of insurance industry and contract management experience
* Extensive knowledge of insurance terminology and understanding of coverage issues relating to Property & Casualty and Employee Health & Benefits coverage.
* Ability to research laws and regulations using legal tools.
* Excellent consulting and conflict management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced experience working with Excel (e.g. VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables).
* Some knowledge with group health state and federal regulations on contract administration.
* Ability to manage multiple various priorities based on business need and deadlines.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
