Job Summary:
As an Entry Level IT Support Specialist at our corporation, you'll have the opportunity to receive training, earn certifications, and advance within our department. We're searching for a professional and tech-savvy individual who is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance our business operations. Based in Lanham, Maryland, this role reports directly to the IT Manager and offers a collaborative work environment where problem-solving and effective communication are key.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve common issues with computers, mobile devices, printers, and applications.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes and procedures.
Manage inventory and maintain spreadsheets/databases.
Prioritize and handle telephone, email, and helpdesk inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.
Provide on-site support at various offices, field locations, and construction sites.
Assist with physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and pulling wiring.
Conduct basic network troubleshooting and support.
Assist with software deployment and updates, ensuring systems are up to date with the latest patches and security measures.
Aid in onboarding/offboarding processes for employees, ensuring data integrity.
Conduct training sessions for employees on basic IT procedures.
Promote and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Maintain a knowledge base of common IT issues and solutions.
Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades and implementations.
Provide remote support to offsite employees using remote access tools.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
1-2 years of IT help desk experience.
Fluent in both English and Spanish.
Valid driver's license.
Experience with iOS and Windows operating systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Construction background (preferred but not required).
Work Environment:
Limited exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions. General office environment with occasional on-site visits.
