Agency Description Licenses & Inspections is a public safety agency that oversees all construction, property maintenance, and licensing for the City of Philadelphia.
Job Description Work-Life Hybrid schedule, flexible hours, minimum 2 days per week in office after orientation.
Position Summary The Investigative Analyst will provide research and administrative support to support the Department in its attempts to enforce various provisions of the Philadelphia Code through prosecution. The position reports to the Department's Director of Enforcement.
Essential Functions:  Conducting research through various search engines to find valid property owners and their current addresses whose properties are in violation of the Philadelphia Code; Helping to identify owners with numerous properties and determine whether those owners maintain their properties in compliance with the Philadelphia Code; Assisting in preparing cases for court; Inputting information to L+I's management systems, including tracking cases through the court process and recording results of hearings. Assist with gathering documents responsive to subpoenas and right-to-know requests. Assist with special projects as needed. Researching proper owners and addresses.  Ability to work in a team setting. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CLEAR required. Candidates must be well-organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to find creative solutions to problems. Candidates must be to learn different systems quickly Candidates must demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to work independently. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field 1-2 years of commensurate experience.
