Responsibilities
• Perform organizing, shipping, and delivering goods globally• Prepare shipping and export documentations• Assign correct Harmonized Tariff Classifications [HTS] to goods• Coordinate with shipping forwarders for shipment tracking• Maintain communication with vendors, customers, and internal team• Work with Trade Compliance to ensure safety, security, and regulatory• Manage financial project logistics for budget vs. actual cost• File claims with carriers and GEA global transportation insurance• Support needs from carriers and customs brokers• Perform accounts payable functions for logistics invoicing
Requirements
• Fluent in English• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Experience in international freight forwarding• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures• Familiarity with international trade regulations• Knowledge of supply chain management and/or project management• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX6 ERP systems preferred• Working knowledge of PC computer systems and transportation management software preferred• Excellent attention to detail and analysis• University degree in business management or 5+ years of international logistics experience• Import and Export Controls training preferred
