The ideal candidate will learn the industry through the lens of EFW. As part of the internship, EFW will provide learning experiences throughout the organization so that the intern truly understands talent acquisition while providing support to the Human Resources department by working on a variety of HR projects to expand knowledge and experience in various aspects of this discipline.
Duties include but are not limited to: Assist the Field Recruiter with identifying and selecting temporary and regular staff for warehouse operations as well as entry and mid-level professionals. Attend college career fairs as needed. Help the field recruiter with a search strategy to identify and source candidates utilizing local schools, career/job fairs and local advertising as appropriate throughout the country. Help ensure completion of new hire paperwork and create employee records. Assist with creating and maintaining employee profiles on company intranet. Help create and maintain agency, manager and temporary employee profiles on the company's time keeping system for temporary staff. Help create and distribute employee ID badges. Help m aintain employee records, including all filing and organization of filing system. Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes. Compose and type routine correspondence. Maintain communication and good working relationship with employees and outside vendors. Regular attendance required. Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in HR Management or related field and no experience required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Ability to travel to other EFW locations and career fairs within the country. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent organizational skills. Self-starter who is able to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment Strong written and oral communication skills required. The qualified candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and tact. Strong analytical ability and identify opportunities for continuous process improvements. Ability to work independently and identify creative solutions. Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts. Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
