Intake Customer Service Representative Duties & Responsibilities: Answering phone calls from potential home health patients and referral sources, such as hospital case managers and physician's offices. Describing Care IV's home health service options to patients and referral sources. Over the phone, evaluating and determining whether the patient is suitable for home health care. Verify that their payer source is in the network with Care IV. Sending and receiving faxes with vital supporting documentation, signed orders, etc. Following up with physicians, clinics, long-term care facilities, hospitals, etc. Coordinating new patient onboarding with our marketing team to ensure satisfactory customer service to the referral sources and our patients. Inputting new patient data into the computer system and assisting the RN with tracking and data reporting. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Three to five professional references that can attest to your skills and experience in a medical office setting. Recent experience working in a clinic or other professional medical office setting is required, with a minimum of one year of experience. A solid history of excellent customer service in an office setting. Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of office machinery (computers, multi-line phones, fax machines, email, etc.) are essential. Knowledge of medical terminology is a must-have skill. Experience with patient intake and processing new patient referrals is preferred. Experience in a Home Health office is a plus but not required.
