Insulation Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Insulation Estimator to join our team and be responsible for preparing bids and cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of insulation, project management, and estimating principles, as well as the ability to work independently and be highly organized.
Position Overview:
The Insulation Estimator will work closely with the Manager of Estimating and Project Managers to develop cost estimates for each phase of commercial projects. The individual in this role will be responsible for accurately preparing bids and estimates, researching material and labor costs, and managing project timelines. They will also be responsible for identifying new opportunities and gathering necessary data to develop cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct extensive research to understand the scope of the project and obtain accurate costs for materials, labor, and subcontractors
Analyze and review project design, drawings, specifications, and other related documents
Develop cost estimates for each phase of the project and present to manager for review
Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of estimates
Manage timeline and budget of projects to ensure timely completion
Identify new opportunities and coordinate with manager to develop cost estimates
Maintain up-to-date records of all estimates and projects
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and labor
Monitor and report progress of projects to manager and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field
2+ years of experience in Estimating, Project Management, or related field
Extensive knowledge of insulation and its application on commercial projects
Familiarity with estimating tools, software, and techniques
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail
