SALARY RANGE: $47,500 - $55,000

Position Duties/Responsibilities The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for the following:
The standard course load for this position is 6 hours per semester. This position requires 25 office hours per week to support duties managing the Tutoring Center. Office hours will be required for 2 weeks prior to the Fall and Spring semesters. Preparing and teaching a variety of mathematics courses at the freshman level, especially corequisite math courses Engaging in scholarly activity and being of service to the department, university, and broader community Working with the freshman math coordinator to support to faculty teaching freshman math courses, including mentoring, professional development opportunities, and resources. Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based strategies to enhance student success. Collaborating with departmental leadership to develop initiatives that support the goals of the Math department and Tutoring Center Screen/hire/train student workers in the Tutoring Center Supervise/monitor student workers and activities of the Tutoring Center Monitor and ensure timesheets are completed and submitted correctly and in a timely manner Monitor and maintain the inventory of the Tutoring Center Assist with maintaining the department budget and monitor expenses Explore grant funding for opportunities on additional funding sources Promote services offered to students, faculty, staff, and departments by attending orientations, recruitment events, professional development days, etc. Use the Navigate platform to identify and reach out to students who could benefit from the support of the Tutoring Center Adapt to other duties as assigned by the Department Head of the Math Department Required/Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in an area of the mathematical sciences or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics Excellent teaching, strong communications and organizational skills, and potential for excellence in service to the department. Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds. Experience with Navigate and Ellucian Banner preferred.
