Responsibilities
• Assists special education teachers with classroom duties• Supports students during instructional activities• Documents student progress• Assists students onto and off the school bus• Supervises students at lunch and recess• Serves as an aide on the school bus• Implements the child's IEP• Participates in training for toileting and personal care• Provides clerical assistance• Performs other related duties as required
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent• Knowledge of childhood growth and development• Ability to supervise children in the absence of a teacher• Ability to perform basic clerical tasks• Effective communication skills• Ability to follow oral and written instructions• First Aid/CPR/AED certification• Additional training requirements may apply
