This is a full-time position that is responsible for selling equipment and parts for the oil and gas industry, including casing, tubing, valves and fittings, wellheads, sucker rods, tanks, fiberglass and poly pipe, etc. to call-in and walk-in customers, as well as ordering required products to fill these orders. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Accurately taking sales orders from customers at the front counter and over the phone. Accurately inputting customer orders into E21 system. Supporting outside sales team with customer quotes and sales orders. Creating accurate purchase orders for required inventory from approved vendors. Developing commercial quotes and proposals to maximize the overall profitability of the Supply Store. Providing consistent customer outreach and follow-up on current customers and new opportunities. Working with Store Manager to develop business forecasts and yearly budgets. Ensuring inventory accuracy and participates in inventory cycle counts. Working with all other stores to reduce companywide Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventories. Working to understand customer's business, their requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and make value added recommendations to increase sales. Documenting customer information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Picking up materials from local vendors to fill sales orders. Delivering customer orders to their worksites. Using and maintaining assigned company vehicles and other assets. Developing professional working relationships with customers, suppliers and other business partners. A high school diploma or equivalent education with two (2) years of related inside sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Working knowledge of all types of oilfield equipment. Ability to learn and apply the company's E21 system. Possession of or the ability to acquire forklift certification. Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). English language fluency, verbal and written. Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check, and drug/alcohol test.
