What to Expect: The HR Generalist will provide support to the San Francisco (SFO)- Into Plane Fueling (ITP) Operation through involvement in all functional areas of the HR department with the emphasis being in recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, benefit/leave administration, and HRIS data entry. This role will be hands-on and employee-focused, providing support to our fueling team.
How you will make an impact: Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of future hiring and business needs Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of frontline/hourly fueling team members and conducts interviews on-site or virtually Acts as a candidate champion: Be the go-to contact person for candidate queries, providing guidance and support throughout their entire candidate experience Collaborates with our Sourcing Recruiter to build a healthy talent pipeline for all anticipated openings Responsible for the facilitation of New Hire Orientation and supports the new hire onboarding process Conducts and partners with leadership (and HR partners when appropriate) to complete complex investigations and recommend action; provide counsel and recommendations to supervisors and managers in matters of employee conduct, performance, corrective and disciplinary actions, consistent with company policies, the CBA for frontline employees, and applicable federal and state labor laws Consults with management on responses to Step 1 Grievances and acts as a designee to conduct Step 2 Grievance meetings under the provisions of the CBA Works collaboratively with other departments as it relates to shared processes not limited to job abandonments, occupational injuries, conducting Reasonable Accommodation Process for employees who may require transitional duties Maintains accurate union employee seniority dates to support frontline employee inquires. Manage all employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA and short-term disability, in compliance with leave-related laws and regulations Other duties as assigned What you will bring: Experience: 2+ Years of Experience in Human Resources 1+ Year of Full-Cycle Recruiting Experience Knowledge/Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills required Technical proficiency and/or expertise with Microsoft Office (excel, Word, PowerPoint, Team, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite, etc. required Practical understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic and be able to maintain confidentiality in daily operations Some experience with employee investigations and managing employee relation concerns Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required Ability to multi-task required Team player and willingness to learn Travel up to 20% (depending on business need) Preferred Experience: Familiar with CBA language and interpretation while supporting a larger, diverse unionized workforce Knowledge of various types of leave of absences, such as FMLA, military, VESSA, and experience with administration and tracking of leaves of absences Familiar with responding to unemployment claims Airline experience Education: Associate degree in Human Resources or related field/ equivalent experience Bachelor's degree preferred Compensation: Base Salary range: $90,000- $96,000 (L6) annually
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience
