Position Overview:
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources team across various operational functions. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and is open to candidates located in U.S. cities within the Eastern and Central Time Zones.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough reviews of background checks, ensuring compliance with company standards and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Navigate candidates through the background check process, manage documentation for adverse actions, and provide guidance on additional approvals when necessary.
Handle escalations related to a range of HR issues such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, wage and hour regulations, harassment, and colleague disputes, ensuring resolutions are legally compliant and align with company guidelines.
Respond to inquiries about HR policies, programs, and procedures promptly and effectively.
Support the HR team with reporting and trend analysis, compliance activities, workforce transitions, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
Maintain and update employee relations templates and process documentation.
Engage in personal development with support from your manager and contribute ideas for continuous improvement within the HR function.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, ideally as an HR Intern, HR Analyst, or a similar role.
A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with HR databases is advantageous.
Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a virtual environment.
Detail-oriented and process-focused, with a keen eye for accuracy.
