Responsibilities for this Position Job description Job Description OVERVIEW This position will be a part of the of our Systems Engineering team and works with the Design Engineering team on Human Factors Engineering into the vehicles.
This is a HYBRID position within our Engineering organization. This position requires the employee to be onsite up to 80%. This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance). Conducts HFE analysis to support recommendations for design changes. Evaluates the customers requirements for HFE and determines if vehicle is compliant. Supports the Systems Engineering Department in the development of the System Specification documents. Plans and conducts testing as required to determine compliance and design verification. Generates HFE reports to management and the customer. Creates and manages Human/System Interface Databases, Hazard logs, Risk Registers and manages Hazard Tracking. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree required in Human Factors Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience professional experience in the HFE field. Fewer years will be considered with advanced degree. Able to work under timelines and tight deadlines when required. Strong written and oral communication skills. Able to work in team environment with limited supervision. Proficiency with Human 3-D Modeling Software (JACK, RAMSIS, Santos, etc.) Familiarity with Human System Integration philosophy & tasking PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space). Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required. Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Professional certification in Human Factors / Ergonomics (ie: CCCPE, BCPE) desired Experience in Human Factors/Ergonomics and System Safety in product design Familiarity with User Centered Design philosophy and approaches. Experience with safety and HFE related Military Standards (i.e.: MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-764, MIL-STD-1472). Able to construct and update Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Event Tree Analyses (ETA). Have a good understanding of Functional Failure Analysis. PI********
